  16. Thanks for all the replies to my query about
  17. TrueType being slow on my SE.  Here's a rough
  18. summary of the replies:

  21. 1.  Use the old bitmaps for screen fonts, but
  22. leave out the larger bitmaps so the printer will
  23. use the truetype fonts.  Dramatic speed improvement.

  25. 2.  Use the WordPrinter Init, upgrade RAM, use
  26. RAMdisk (from sumex) to copy System Folder automagically
  27. to RAM disk.
  28.  
  29. 3.  Upgrade to SE/30 ($$ dancing before my eyes...);
  30. use BitFont (maybe at sumex) to rasterise the truetype
  31. fonts to often-used sizes.
