  12. Under System 6.x, I used to use the FPLAY command that (I think) shipped with 
  13. Farrallon's MacRecorder to play compressed sounds.  When I try to do this 
  14. under system 7.0 (tuned up), it is very unstable.  Is there any solution 
  15. apart from playing the sound uncompressed?
