  11. I'm trying to upgrade my IIsi to 17 Meg, by using 4 4 Meg, 80ns SIMMs.
  12. When I bring the machine up, everything seems fine until I move the mouse.
  13. Then, I get a series of black horizontal lines near the cursor. If I
  14. switch the SIMMs around, the black lines sometimes appear in other places.
  15. The lines disappear as soon as the cursor stops moving. The black lines
  16. are more like a distortion than a row of black pixels. It is annoying enough
  17. that the machine can't be used.

  19. I assumed that the memory was bad, but I installed a new set of SIMMs with
  20. the same results.

  22. When I return to my original 5 Megabytes of RAM, the problem goes away.

  24. I would very much appreciate any facts or even speculation about what is
  25. going on.
