- I am attempting to connect an Apple 16 inch monitor to an fx with and 8*24 GC
- card installed. I have upgraded the ROM on the 8*24 GC and am using version
- 1.0 of the 8*24 GC driver. System 6.0.5 is installed on the fx. I have
- already isolated the INITs and booted with another system.
-
- The problem is with the activation of the 8*24 driver. Just prior to the
- driver's loading, horozontal "worms" begin to appear on the screen. As the
- driver is loaded the intensity becomes so bad that a band of "worms"
- form across the entire screen about 4/5ths of the way up the
- screen. When the rocket icon reaches this area the fx goes into
- "comatose" speed and the instructions begin stepping through the
- processor at a rate of about one per second. Without the accelerator
- loading the problem appears only in a mild form during bootup and does
- not seem to adversly affect the processor's functions. If you are familiar
- with these signs and symptoms and know of a fix please reply to me at:
