- Very true. Just because you don't have any software capable of generating
- a stereo sound, don't assume that the machine's hardware isn't capable of
- it. The above machines' sound output _hardware_ is all stereo, and is
- fully capable of generating stereo sound. However, much (most?) of Mac
- sound is generated in mono in software with the same signal fed to both
- stereo channels. All Mac speakers produce only mono sound (there's only
- one speaker, right?).

- Well, Dale, at least one programme I know of produces stereo sound and that
- is Falcon 2.0 (Aside to Spectrum Holobyte: when do we Mac people get 3.0)
- My question to you Dale is, however, this: It is stated in the Apple Facts
- 10.92 booklet that the IIci and si have mono sound. Has Apple indeed replaced the sound generation software in these machines with mono chips.
- Inquiring Net-minds want to know.
