- Here's the problem. I got an internal Apple HD SC 20. The drive works
- fine when I use it in my LCII, so I know that the formatting isn't a problem.
- The trouble comes when I try to put it in an old external case that used to
- house a 5 1/4 in hard drive. The power and SCSI connections seem to match and
- the wires are all continuous, but when I put the 3 1/2 drive into the case and
- try to get the whole thing to work, it won't. SCSI Probe won't find any devices
- connected to the bus and reports SCSI Bus unterminated even though I have a
- terminator on the unused SCSI plug of the external case.
- Any suggestions on what to check or try next would be appreciated via
- e-mail, rather than posts. Especially, I'm interested in how to change the SCSI
- address on the drive. I suspect that it involves changing the jumpers on the
- controller board, but I'm not certain.
- Thanks for any assistance rendered,
- Dave Kuechenmeister
