- That is very true, in fact I can't tell the difference between a bit-image
- and a PS-Image on our PL which has been upgraded to support PS besides
- suporting Quickdraw.

-
- Yes, or in theory it can. I have an ATARI Mega STE and I use some postscript
- emulation software which my computer dutifully works on while it prints
- to a Epson FX-85 with very impressive results...although you have to wait
- for QUITE a while before you get a full page to print out.
-
- Its sort of neato taking postscript files and porting them between computers.
- It certainly saves me big buck'os and is convienant in that I can upload
- the PS material to any PS printer anywhere without worrying about the
- application residing on the resident computer to print out whatever I
- am hauling around with me that day.
-
- With a laser printer and the correct Quickdraw drivers, a non PS printer
- should be able to do just as well, however, I don't know of any software
- which will emulate, or run, postscript on the Mac. It is sort of esoteric
- considering that Quickdraw already has the rastering ability on screen and
- is easily supported in those Apple's Laserwriters which include Quickdraw
- emulation.
-
- Then of course, now a days, most printers offer very affordable PS options.
