- I agree, I am also interested in 16 ~ 18 bit ADCs and DACs, and I
- was planning to use a DUO so that I could do my MIDI sequencing and
- HD recording, and then just simply remove the DUO from its docking station
- to take it on the road. Problem is: I would need the big docking station
- for the NUBUS slots, and the MINI dock for taking on the road (I have
- no desire to lug $1500 worth of AudioMedia to a gig).
- But, I can't afford the duo AND the docking bay. So, I thought
- that the IIvx would be a nice substitute. But if the bus runs at 16MHz,
- I presume that NUBUS slots would be out there, hopelessly waiting for
- the 16MHz bus to send/receive information. (Could someone confirm this.)
- I don't want a IIci, since I have heard some (non-music)
- stories about strange things happening. I will probably wait for the
- new machines, or buy an LCII (and forget about HD recording for a while).
- Anyone want to trade a Mac Plus for a Quadra.... :)
