  18. Taligent is a software only company. It is "independent" of Apple (and 
  19. IBM). In order to succeed, the Taligent OS needs to run on more platforms 
  20. than just the PowerPC. Not only do I expect their OS to run on the very 
  21. first PowerPC but on the RS6000 and 680[34]0 Macs as well. I wouldn't be 
  22. surprised to see a port for 80[345]86 PCs. I would be surprised if the OS 
  23. were not eventually ported to the Alpha and SPARC architectures as well.

  25. I have no inside knowledge of Taligent's marketing strategy -- but I would 
  26. be happy to receive any  :-)
