- WARNNG: the following is mostly rumor...
-
- In the hardware category, the two Centris machines, LC III, and Quadra
- 800 (mini-tower) are expected to be released is January, so the MacWorld Expo
- would be the logical place to do this. Rumor also has it that a PowerBook Duo
- with an active matrix display will be released along with them. I've also heard
- of a color active matrix PowerBook in January, but I seriously doubt that it
- will be out that soon. Also slated for release in the not to distant future are
- the P600/IIvx -> Centris upgrade, a color version of the Classic series, and
- the anouncement of the demise of the IIci, LCII, IIsi, and Quadra 700. In
- non-macintosh hardware, look for a *lot* of PowerBook Duo docks of all sorts,
- more 16" monitors, drives based on the three new Quantum 3.5" mechanisms, more
- Rocket-type stuff, and some Quick Ring cards (for graphics adapters, video
- in/out, accelerators, SCSI - II).
-
- REMEMBER: this was only a rumor report...
