  23. WARNNG: the following is mostly rumor...

  25.     In the hardware category, the two Centris machines, LC III, and Quadra  
  26. 800 (mini-tower) are expected to be released is January, so the MacWorld Expo  
  27. would be the logical place to do this. Rumor also has it that a PowerBook Duo  
  28. with an active matrix display will be released along with them. I've also heard  
  29. of a color active matrix PowerBook in January, but I seriously doubt that it  
  30. will be out that soon. Also slated for release in the not to distant future are  
  31. the P600/IIvx -> Centris upgrade, a color version of the Classic series, and  
  32. the anouncement of the demise of the IIci, LCII, IIsi, and Quadra 700. In  
  33. non-macintosh hardware, look for a *lot* of PowerBook Duo docks of all sorts,  
  34. more 16" monitors,  drives based on the three new Quantum 3.5" mechanisms, more  
  35. Rocket-type stuff, and some Quick Ring cards (for graphics adapters, video  
  36. in/out, accelerators, SCSI - II).
