- 4D Xref (I have version 2.0) is basically a REPORTING tool only. It
- will let you print out just about any part of your database, but you
- can't make global changes or anything useful like that :-)
-
- In terms of what you can print out (or browse interactively), you have
- the option to print a Cross-reference of Commands, Global Procedures,
- Variables, Externals, Layouts, and the Structure. You can also print
- all layouts and layout procedures, global procedures, menu bars, and lists.
-
- XRef does a nice job digesting a ream of paper. On a mildly involved
- database, it is not unusual to get 200+ pages of output if you choose
- all options. I team XRef up with the excellent "N-up Laserwriter"
- functionality from "DMM Laserwriter Stuff 1.3.1" in order to save my
- small chunk of forest.
-
- Now if we could just figure out why ACIUS thinks XRef needs it's own
- color pallette....
