  12. We just had a serious head crash with an ESDI drive of a somewhat
  13. older PS/2. We'd like to replace the drive, as the machine is quite
  14. well equipped (token ring, memory, '387 etc.). Now two questions:
  15.   o  can i get an off-the-shelf drive, connect it and it works? Or am
  16.      i forced to get one of the overpriced IBM drives?
  17.   o  where can i get an ESDI drive? The ads in the computer magazines
  18.      have IDE and SCSI drives, only...
  19. Size is not a big deal, (50-100MB), but should be less than US$ 1000.
  20. Or should i get a (MicroChannel-)SCSI controller + drive instead? Any
  21. caveats with this combo?
