  21. Well, what you want is to get a copy of the datasheet for the Intel
  22. 82077 chip.  This is a single chip 100% PS/2 compatible floppy controller.
  23. The data sheet tells you all about what the registers are and how to
  24. use them.  You can find the data sheet in the "Peripherals" data book
  25. from Intel.  The date on mine is 1990, so presumably anything later
  26. should have it; I don't know about earlier.

  28. You should also be able to get some sort of Programmers reference thing
  29. from IBM which details the ports on not only the floppy, but also all
  30. of the other "public" ports in the PC and PS/2's.
