- This should be "Operating system missing"--

- I know it's bad form to follow up on your own post, but what the heck.
- I think that I have now sucessfully screwed up the PS/2 beyond
- recognition. I tried a low-level format and then booted the DOS 5.0
- installation disk. It started up fine, but as soon as it tried to run
- FDISK the computer restarted, and I got the message "Operating system
- missing" when it tried to boot from the floppy.
-
- I'm doing this for a friend, and I'd like to get the system back (at
- least) in the condition it was when she bought it.
-
- Can anybody get me out of this jam? The people at the computer store
- helpfully told me "Sounds like floppy trouble, bring it in for
- servicing" and I couldn't find a half decent book on the subject.
