  28. Well, I looked at the literature and considered it for my model 80-071 and
  29. decided to go with AOX. BTW Kingston just anounced a similar board but
  30. somewhat cheaper.

  32. The reason I'm getting the AOX is the recent price reduction. The 486-33DX
  33. is now $1095 (education price) Last time I checked it was $2700! AND the
  34. fact that it has on board memory of up to 16MB. THe Sigma is $925 and is
  35. stuck with the memory on the bus. Even though this may be 80ns I've been
  36. told this acts like 300ns becuase of the bus.

  38. AOX is a busmaster board. The original 386 is utilized for I/O. The AOX
  39. memory can be accessed by other busmasters and the original 386. Its
  40. compatible with OS/2.

  42. I think the performance on the  AOX will be much higher than the SIGMA or
  43. Kingston for that matter.

  45. AOX wants $285 for 8MB SIMMS.
