- No, it is not SB Pro compatible. The SB Pro 22 kHz stereo is not worth
- moaning about, however. I had some serious doubts about getting PAS16
- myself - but after checking the SB Pro of my friend, and comparing it
- to mere SB 2.0.. well, the SB Pro "stereo" is rather shitty at best
- (and it is really the only thing you miss)..
-
- At the time SB Pro 16 was partly vaporware and partly too expensive
- (which it still is). And I did not want to wait or pay.
-
- I am very satisfied with my PAS16. The SB hardware compatibility has
- been 100% so far (I used to own SB 2.0), but the sounds are better due
- to the possibility to use the internal mixer and sound control.
-
- I'd like to see software utilizing both the SB hardware and PAS
- circuits simultaneously - that should be entirely possible :-)
-
- Of course I'd like people (and software makers) to support Media
- Vision instead of Creative Labs.. :-) But I am prepared to jump back
- to SB Pro 16 if things turn out badly (:
-
- But for now: nice card. Very nice. You won't be disappointed.
