- Yes, IBM still carries some replacement parts. I got a battery from
- them about a half year ago for around $40 I think. The battery is
- not the same as a standard PC battery, and I didn't want to chance
- messing things up. A little while later I started losing power for
- no apparent reason. I priced a power supply through IBM, they wanted
- over $1,000 for one. I managed to find one through a part shop for
- $150. In the end, I just cleaned the power supply and I haven't had
- a problem since.

- While I was looking into the power supply, I also asked about memory
- and multiport serial cards. As far as I can recall, they didn't have
- any. I guess they only carry "replacement" things nowadays.
