- Your explanation is somewhat incorrect.

- First, there are over 40 outdial cities (places you can call to).
- There are indial points at nearly every medium city in the country.
- These indials are not TymeNet, they are Telenet (or SprintNet).

- There is a delay of about 1 second at full duplex no matter which city
- you call. This means Z-Modem is a necessity (or other streaming protocol).

- I used it for over 4 years until I got my 14.4K modem, at which time the
- LD cost/byte became equal. If you are at 2400bps, PCP is definately
- worth it.
