- I used to use WordPerfect5.1 on my 286-12 1MB ram system. Although CPU
- is slow, but it does not involve much disk activility. I did not even
- have disk cache on it. WP5.1 was doing quite well on it. Now I switched
- to 486DX-33 with 8MB ram. I use WP5.1 for Windows now. I have Hyperdisk
- cache program installed. But WP5.1 (for windows) seems really slow:it
- just keeps fetching data from the harddisk.
-
- So I guess the situation will be the same for 586: WP6.0 on 586 with
- Windows NT will probably not be much faster than WP5.1 on a 286 system!
