  18. I also have a Western Digital 43 mb hard drive that acts the same way.
  19. Normally a warm boot will get it going, but once I had to power down and
  20. reboot for it to start up.  The drive also squeaks when powering up and
  21. some when powering down.  I'm sorry I don't have any info on correcting
  22. the problem, but would be happy to hear from anyone who does.  I've used
  23. my drive for three years.
