- To answer my own question... Shortly after posting the message above I
- received a phone call from a survey firm hired by Central Point. The person
- calling wanted to know if I had received the upgrade notice (yes) and had
- ordered the upgrade (yes). She also asked if I was satisfied with the
- upgrade (sort of). I told her I was very unhappy that Central Point had
- removed all the Windows apps from PC Tools 8.0 and did not mention it in
- the upgrade offer.
-
- Her final question was: What I buy "Central Point PC Tools for *WINDOWS*".
- My answer: "Not after this treatment. I already have Norton Desktop for
- Windows 2.0 and am very happy with it."
