  11. I have been using my 386 system (upgraded to a Cyrix 486DLC CPU chip)
  12. for a couple of days and have discovered a problem...

  14. If I run with the do_cache.exe program which enables the 486DLC internal
  15. cache, the performance improvement is dramatic.  However, enabling
  16. the cache causes the Soundblaster Pro board to misbehave.  Namely,
  17. various programs that talk to the SBPro complains about "cannot detect
  18. DMA channel" or somesuch.

  20. If I run without running do_cache.exe, then the SBPro works fine.
  21.  
  22. Can someone explain the cause of this and perhaps suggest a solution?
  23. I would really like to be able to run with the internal cache on at
  24. all times...
