  18. XT class machines do not have a bios setup (they don't store configurations
  19. in CMOS memory).  All configuration changes have to be done by hand via dip
  20. switches on the motherboard and/or dip switches/jumpers on the cards.

  22. Yes, there are several 286 upgrade motherboards out there that will fit
  23. into an IBM XT case.  If you upgrade, I strongly urge you to also upgrade
  24. your power supply. The original XT power supply can barely handle the power
  25. demands of an AT class system.
