- Since ATI is reworking their driver to use the 64K memory window normally
- occupied by the VGA memory as the "aperture" in the Graphics Ultra Pro, it
- will no longer have a problem on an ISA bus machine with 16 Mbytes of RAM.
- From a performance perspective, this should deliver very nearly the full
- performance of the card, without the memory conflicts a 16 Mbyte ISA bus
- machine would otherwise have. Of course, the local bus version of the card
- doesn't have these problems....
-
- I'd call them about the driver, and if everything checked out, go with the
- ATI card - it's certainly faster.
