- Hello,
-
- After searching for my ideal PC for months (and changing its definition
- whenever I hear the latest), I've decided to build my own PC. However, I
- do not know where to find information on motherboards. Here is my
- description of my ideal motherboard:
-
- 1) 6 EISA slots
- 2) 2 VL Bus slots
- 3) P24T-ready CPU socket but holds a 486, or
- a CPU module
- 4) Overdrive socket (I could live without this)
- 5) 64KB cache, upgradeable to 256 KB
- 6) Able to hold 64 MB DRAM on motherboard
- 7) Flash BIOS
- 8) Able to run at 100 MHz (50 MHz is acceptable)
-
- Not sure if this exists. ZEOS has a PC which is all the above except for
- the EISA slots, so I have hope.
-
- Any information you can provide on building a PC (e.g. what motherboard
- or case companies have good reputations, what references listing
- motherboards and their specs exist, etc.) would be greatly appreciated!
-
- Thanks in advance!
