- I would like to widen the scope of this thread. We are now blessed
- (or cursed) with ever bigger hard disks, which the software is happily
- consuming; e.g. Borland C++ 3.1 requires 50 MB of storage. Tape
- backup is becoming a necessity not a luxury. At the same time cd-rom
- has definitely arrived. Thus the well equipped PC requires both a
- tape drive and a cd-rom drive. I assume this means SCSI. I also have
- a feeling that OS/2 is the appropriate operating system for this
- hardware. Thus I would like the recommendations to cover (SCSI)
- controller, tape drive and cd-rom drive. Note: OS/2 includes DOS 5.0.
