  28. My $0.02 worth:  Viewsonic.

  30. Main reasons are (1) independent reviews rate Viewsonic above equivalent
  31. NECs in *most* (not all) cases; e.g. Infoworld, Infocomm, Comp. Shopper,
  32. etc., and (2) I use a Viewsonic 6 myself and *love* it.

  34. Things to look for:  Refresh rate (higher nums are better),
  35. vertical/horizontal frequency (again, higher frequency ranges are better).,
  36. *dot pitch* (The smaller, the better - .28 is good, .25 is better),
  37. location of controls - can they be accessed easily ?  And, how *many*
  38. controls?  Can you adjust not only screen intensity, but also horizontal
  39. and vertical positions?  Can you *expand* the screen vertically and
  40. horizontally?  My V6 lets me do all this using the wheels on the *front*
  41. of the crt...

  43. I'm not sure, but I think the V8 is .28 dot pitch; it *might* be .25.
  44. I've seen one displayed, and was suitably impressed; but I did not 
  45. actually get to run my own VGA tests on the beast.
