- In my AMI Bios I have set the ST-277R with an RLL controller to type
- 47 (USER CONFIG.). I set :
- CYLINDERS= 820
- HEADS= 6
- WPCOMP= ? but I set it at 820 just like my ST251 MFM
- LZ= 820
- CAP= 62 MB
-
- IS THIS RIGHT??
-
- OK, I low-level format it, reporting the bad sectors on the disk.
- I set the interleave to be 1 (is this optimalfor RLE?).
- OK now it formatted the disk.
- I boot from a floppy containing fdisk, format, command.com etc.
- I use fdisk to create the primary partition.....THEN it gives me the error:
-
- runtime error R6003
- -integer divide by 0
-
- And fdisk has died. What is wrong with this drive. I have formated the same
- drive under the MFM controller for 41 MB and it worked fine.
