  11. In my AMI Bios I have set the ST-277R with an RLL controller to type
  12. 47 (USER CONFIG.).  I set :   
  13. CYLINDERS= 820
  14. HEADS= 6
  15. WPCOMP= ? but I set it at 820 just like my ST251 MFM
  16. LZ= 820
  17. CAP= 62 MB

  19. IS THIS RIGHT??

  21. OK, I low-level format it, reporting the bad sectors on the disk.
  22. I set the interleave to be 1 (is this optimalfor RLE?).
  23. OK now it formatted the disk.
  24. I boot from a floppy containing fdisk, format, command.com etc.
  25. I use fdisk to create the primary partition.....THEN it gives me the error:

  27.     runtime error R6003
  28.     -integer divide by 0
  29.  
  30. And fdisk has died.  What is wrong with this drive. I have formated the same
  31. drive under the MFM controller for 41 MB and it worked fine.
