  14. In general it is not possible to combine an IDE and a RLL drive.
  15. The reason is that both controllers use the same addressrange.
  16. There is however a shareware program available, I think at
  17. SIMTEL in the directory dskutl, the program is called 3_DRIVES.
  18. This program will allow you to use any drive connected to a
  19. controller working on the alternate address range 170-177. 
  20. Documentation on how the setup the drive is included in the 
  21. zip file. 
  22. If your controller does not have the abbility to change the address
  23. from the primary address (1f0-1F7) you can not use the program.
  24. However by modifying your controllercard, inserting a TTL inverter
  25. component in address line A7, it should always be possible to 
  26. change the controller to the alternate address.

  28. There are some limitations on the usage of the drive but in
  29. general things should work fine.
