- An associate says he remembers seeing articles that described how to write
- protect a hard disk that had an IDE controller. The technique was to write
- to a certain register which hardware disabled writes to the drive. This
- mode could only be undone by warm boot or power off (not sure which).
- Anyone know more specifics about how to do this?
