- I have exactly the same need as you: a HP PS/2 mouse (made by
- Logitech, BTW) that I'd like to use as serial. I borrowed a Logitech
- adapter and traced the connections, but found that only three
- wires went through: ground, TX data and one other I can't remember.
- This leads me to suspect that the adapter has some electronics
- inside of it, and is not a simple pin cross. The mouse did have
- all six wires connected to its internal circuit board. Is the
- Logitech adapter available by itself, or only with the mouse?
