- Recently, I bought a ET4000 Chipset SVGA Card that supports
- HiColor 32K, 64K in 800x600 and 24-Bit in 640x480 and 256 colors in
- 1024x768. It has drivers for most applications as well as Windows 3.1.
- But the 24-Bit mode is only supported in Windows. So Only windows
- applications can access this mode. It is VESA compliant.
-
- For the 24-Bit mode, I hardly use it now, but maybe in the near
- future I need to scan in true-color images and add into my documents or
- presentations. Why not just invest a bit more for the future. It is
- definitely worth the money. I am now very happy with the card and
- monitor that I had.
-
- By the way, it does not come with any graphics accelerator.
