- I'm currently using a Hauppauge 4860 board at 25 MHz. This EISA board
- contains both a 486 and a 860 and runs flawlessly.
-
- However, my board does not have any 2nd level cache - I'm using the
- 8kb of the 486 and that's it. The board supports the optional Intel
- Turbo Cache 486 module, providing 128K cache.
-
- When asking about this module, Hauppauge stated that they strongly
- recommend against using it. They had encountered severe problems; they
- stated that Intel had acknowledged that a problem existed.
-
- So the basic question: is this indeed true? Who has positive or
- negative experiences with the 485 board?
