- Hello,
-
- I just got a new mainboard with a 486 50DX2 on it, and I thought to
- take over my Video7 VRAM graphik board.
-
- BUT I had to find out that the board is in about 80% of the cases
- recognized as monochrome, so I have to press reset many times until
- I get color. Since there are also other problems with the mainboard
- I first accused this, but I now tried a standard VGA ( Video7 VEGA VGA )
- as well as a VRAM II ergo, and both are regularly recognized as color.
-
- In April a guy from Australia reported the same problem, ( Steven Howell ),
- but there was no answer. I already tried to send mail, but got also no response
- yet.
-
- My VRAM BIOS is 435-0022/23-10, and it reports itself as
-
- V-RAM VGA BIOS Version 1.10
-
- and I have jumpered 8-Bit ROM access for the tighter encoding.
-
- So the question is:
-
- Does anybody have seen this already ?
-
- If anybody uses a VRAM in a 486, which BIOS Version do you have ?
-
- I anything known about upgrade ROMs etc.?
-
- Thanks to all who reply ( mail might be sufficient )
