  11. I saw my first LJ4 yesterday.  (On display, not operating at the time).

  13. It appears to be a very nice printer as have all the previous HP LaserJets.
  14. It does do true 600X600dpi and has built-in support for TrueType (35
  15. built-in fonts?).  A PostScript option is available, but if you are using
  16. Windows 3.1 and have no unusual needs, I doubt it is worth the extra cost.

  19. BTW, reading between the lines, I suspect some software will require a new
  20. printer driver to output anything to this printer.  It does not appear to
  21. be 100% backwards compatible with the LJ3's 300X300dpi output.  For most
  22. users this probably won't be a problem and drivers should quickly appear
  23. for just about any software.
