I recently inherited a Maxtor XT-2190 disk drive, which I have learned is
an MFM drive. I would like to attach it to my 386 box running Interactive
Systems Unix. My primary disk and controller is ESDI. So what I need is
an MFM controller which allows me to select the interrupt (say 15), and allows me to select the secondary I/O addresses for the controller. (I can select the BIOS address on the ESDI controller to avoid conflicts). Fortunately, ISC Unix is smart enough to handle two (heterogeneous) controllers.
Does such a controller card exist? If so, how much should I expect to pay for it. Please respond by e-mail since I don't read this group regularly.
Thanks in advance.
