  23. The MicroSolutions drive is slower than molasses.  But I am comparing
  24. that to the CMS drive running from their TC-15 card.

  26. I would say it runs about 1/4 as fast.
  27. The MicroSolutions software is markedly different and does not
  28. allow as much versatility as the CMS software.  For example,
  29. there is no Search capability.  I do not know how this
  30. drive compares with the new CMS printer port drive.

  32. CMS has  announced a tape drive which works from the printer
  33. port.  This certainly as attraction from the point of view for
  34. sharing the drive with more than one PC, just as one can do
  35. with printers.  BTW, the printer does not seem affected by
  36. the tape drive.

  38. OS/2 is not yet supported by CMS, tho I understand that there are
  39. other mfr's drives which are.  CMS promises OS/2 support by year-end.
  40. On the comp.os.os2.misc net people have posted ways to get the
  41. CMS drive to work with OS/2 using the msdos software.  
  42. I have no experience with this.
