- I also have noticed it, and it seemed more pronounced when I have 2
- SC 32K cards in and haven't had the calc on for a while. It seems
- that turning on the calc causes a relatively heavy load on the batteries.
- I have a theory that inside the calc the capacitors lose their charge and
- when the "on" button is pressed, the heavy load of charging the capacitors
- would "flash" the display (why a heavy load would affect the display
- is beyond me at this time) This effect is more pronounced when I have two
- 32K SC cards in. (more battery drain). WHen I went to get my SC cards,
- I asked to try one out first, and the card's voltage requirements were a
- little too picky for my calc, so it caused the pins to lock, thus increasing
- the drain on the batteries, and sure enough, the screen went dark. So, I DO
- think that the display flash has to do with the battery condition, so to speak.
- (A weak battery would have more of a shock when a heavy load was put on it)
- Just my 2 scents.
