- I'm now almost 100% convinced that the RPC implementation under HP/UX is flaky
- with regards to memory allocation/deallocation.
-
- A few days ago, I posted requests to this group looking for anyone who had
- strange memory related problems with RPC/XDR.
-
- I've received some replies indicating that yes, there have been problems.
-
- Unfortunately, I've not received enough information to make the problems go
- away.
-
- So in a final bid for information, does anyone have any advice as to how to
- solve RPC/XDR related problems ONCE AND FOR ALL. Are there 'well known' patches
- for HP/UX RPC?
-
- As a software developer attempting to port good, stable code to HP, I'm pretty
- disappointed by the environment overall. Maybe the machine I'm working with is
- way outta date or something, but it's not impressive by any means.
-
- Indeed, what version of the OS should I be running to give me the greatest
- chance of success, and how do I work out what version I've got? (Including
- patch levels, etc. IBM drove me nuts with 1000000 patches to AIX)
-
- Any help appreciated.
