  11. We have an HP Vectra 386-PC with a BIOS that supports an internal streaming
  12. tape device, but does not support an IDE hard disk we're trying to install.
  13. The disk is 212MB, 16-heads, and otherwise has a number of tracks and a
  14. number of sectors per track that doesn't fit into any of the few disk drives
  15. that HP supports in their "setup" program.

  17. I tried Ontrack Disk Manager 4.2 but it freezes the machine as at boot time.
  18. I tried the /o option on DMDRVR.BIN.  The Vectra is running DOS 5 BTW.  Will
  19. Ontrack Disk Manager 5.0 help?

  21. The HP BIOS is dated 1989 -- it seems pretty recent not to allow you to
  22. configure your own disk drive as you can on other PC's.
