- We have seen similar problems. I believe that this is due to HP
- "enhancements" which do verification over and above the straight-
- forward SCSI init command.
- However, we have recently had chance to try out a format of a bad
- WREN 7 on a 720 running HP-UX 9.0 and it successfully mediainited.
- But ...
- We saw another problem. The disk disappears after being hit by the
- first SCSI command and has to be powered off/on for it to reappear.
- It then disappears again. ie you can init it but you can't use it
- again :-{.
- This may be a pre-release problem, or poss a hardware problem and we
- are currently looking to do more extensive tests on a V9 system.
