- When logging in on a HP 827, HPUX 8.0, on a terminal line the opening
- screen contains nearly twenty lines of copyrights. Then, there follows
- a welcome message, followed by the news of the day.
-
- Approximately one time in every 15, the screen will freeze on the opening
- screen - always at the same position on the screen. Is it necessary to display
- all those copyrights? I suspect that I could solve the problem by deleting
- several of the lines of copyright, because the screen hangs at precisely the
- same position on the screen every time. Once hung, it is often necessary to
- break the connection and attempt to login again.
-
- I have no idea why it hangs -( sorry if this is a FAQ).
