- I'm thinking about buying a computer soon and I've been looking at
- NeXTs and Suns and wanted to compare them to HPs. I have a couple of
- questions....
-
- 1) Does HP have an educational discount if so where to I find out
- what it is?
-
- 2) Also what series 9000 machines are there between 8-15k before edu
- discount and what are the benchmarks (MIPs,SPECmarks?) and are they
- color, etc.?
-
- (Also part of 2 which ones have the PA-RISC chip and do any allow
- multiple processors for later updates of power).
-
- 3) I hear HP-UX is getting better but is still not that great. What's
- the real story and what windowing environment is there for HPs?
-
- Thanks for the help and please email replies.....
