- Yes, but you don't want to. Remember, VUE is enough of a pig with
- memory as it stands, without letting the server store a full screen
- color backing store bitmap. :-)

- If you insist, and can afford a memory upgrade, you can turn off the
- VUE background in a room, then use a PD program like xgifroot to
- display a background image.

- server. If you let it run in the background, applications
- requesting more than the available number of colors will cause
- the colormap to switch (technicolor effect).
