  33. Well, there is not the  first "third party disk" I have buyed..
  34. I had buyed  some IBM disks to an OEM in Spain.
  35. I had a trouble with the synchronous or asynchronous character of
  36. this disk.I talk with the OEM and the OEM talk with IBM.Immediately
  37. IBM send me a FAX with the solution.
  38. When I do the same with an HP disk the responese is null.
  39. I think that if HP makes the disk , it know the adecuate entry in
  40. /etc/disktab
  41. for this disk.I think the disk is checked by HP before sell it to OEM.
  42. I have calculate the adecuate ns,nt and nc with the help of an
  43. application in
  44. my Macintosh and with the help of manuals, and th disk is working nicely.

  46. HP could have saved me a lot of time.
