  15. I'm not sure (note disclaimer at end), but I was always lead to believe
  16. that HP9000/8xx do this (because they have a battery back-up.  The
  17. original poster (Mark Bixby <markb@spock.dis.cccd.edu>) said this was on
  18. an 817, so I'm mystified.  Maybe I'm wrong, and certain 800s don't?

  20. Of course, HP3000s have managed this trick for some time.
  21. HP9000/[3,4,7]xx don't do this because they're `workstations', as
  22. opposed to `servers'.
