- Hi DEC fans -
-
- I am looking for a utility (preferably with source so that I can port
- it if needed) that will allow me to manipulate RT-11 archives on a
- UNIX system. On ULTRIX-32/VAX there is the utility "arff" that does
- exactly what I want, but it ONLY works on a VAX and there's only binaries
- given out. Is there another way to go about this task, say on a PC based
- UNIX system? Public domain? Off-the-cuff hacks?
-
- Here is the first part of the man page for "arff", just for info:
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
- Name
- arff - archiver for RT-11 format devices
-
- Syntax
- /etc/arff key
-
- Description
- The arff command manipulates RT-11 formatted devices, such as the
- console media on VAX computers, or RT-11 formatted device images
- stored as a file on your ULTRIX system. The key argument is a
- single letter, possibly followed by one or more letters. Possible
- values for key follow:
- etc.
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- I offer a *heap* of thanks in advance!
