- We just received our VS4000 TCA boards, great!
-
- Plug one into a 4000-M90 and stick an fddi board on, looks okay so far.
-
- Finally find the network address of the board by running the MIPS console
- emulator and doing "t tc0 cnfg", looks good.
-
- How do you get it to boot over the fddi adapter?
-
- Tried many things, VAX console ROM is clueless about FCA0 ...
- the most promising turned out to be "t tc0 boot mop" in the MIPS emulator
- but still no go (yes I did change the hardware address on the load host).
-
- Anyone have any clues?
-
- I finally just booted from the ethernet adapter, turned off DECnet on ethernet
- and turned it on for fddi (don't want to be a router). This is VMS V5.5-2HW
- by the way.
