- It's a QVSS, like it says. It's a bitonal (B&W only, no shades) card
- which generates a 1024x864 image. Common monitors for this were the VR260
- and VR262. The VR150 should also work. The cable that connects the patch
- panel to the monitor is (I think) a BC18S-10 (that's from memory, I'm at
- home). A LK201 keyboard (same as that on a VT2xx/3xx) plugs into the
- cable assembly. A VSXXX mouse completes the system. An optional digitizer
- tablet plugs into the other 15-pin connector.

-
- Yes. In order to make the serial port (the 9-pin connector, which BTW
- uses a DEC pinout and not the PC pinout) the primary console, you'll
- need to disable the video board. The easiest way is to just take it out
- (you'll probably need to rearrange cards to maintain bus continuity).
-
- Of course, that will change your licensing model from a VAXstation to
- a MicroVAX, so if you've got VMS V5.0 or newer on there you'll have a
- problem.
-
- I think the machine is sitting there waiting for you to respond to a
- question about national language which is displayed on the (missing)
- monitor.
