- I was just on the verge of doing the upgrade myself (from 4.1 to 4.3)
- on my DECStation 5000/200.
-
- Now I'm not so sure. Can anyone else (e.g., DEC personnel, if they're
- willing to give an honest assessment) confirm/refute this problem
- before I retreat and upgrade to 4.2A instead??

-
- I *HATE* upgrading -- it ALWAYS creates more problems than it solves!
- But sometimes you gotta just swallow hard and do it, because the new
- software version (e.g, DEC GKS3D v1.2), the one with the critical bug
- fix you desperately need (and presumably some new, even more critical
- bugs thrown in for good measure), requires the new version of the OS.
-
- If new cars were engineered as sloppily as most new software, car
- manufacturers would go to jail.
